Can I get notifications of new mail and discussions in my unit?

You can forward copies of mail messages from CE6 to your email (for instructions see the Quick Guide for Mail at http://online.mq.edu.au/docs/qgmail.html). To see other new items in your unit you should login to CE6. To load the file to a WebCT unit use <Manage Files> and <Upload>.

How do I upload a file to WebCT (PowerPoint, PDF; Word documents)?

From within your unit go to <File Manager> on the 'Build' tab then <Get files> to load the file to a folder in the unit files area. Return to the Course Contents page or go to the folder or Learning Module where you want to add a link to the file, and select <Add file>. In the 'CE6 Basics' and 'CE6 Fundamentals' workshops you will get hands-on experience with these and other CE6 functions.

My students cannot hear the iLecture audio files

Possibly those students do not have computer sound cards, or Quicktime is not installed. Ask the students to contact Student IT Help at http://www.sith.mq.edu.au/

How do I upload PowerPoint files to iLecture?

PowerPoint presentations are not recorded by the iLecture system. You must upload the files using the iLecture Staff Tool which you can access from the link in your CE6 unit. For detailed instructions see the staff manual at http://online.mq.edu.au/docs/ilecture/ilecstaff.pdf

Where can I find out more about using CE6?

When you login to Online Learning @ MQ you will have access to a 'Resources for Staff ' online unit which contains links to Flash tutorials, Training Course booklets and other resources for CE6. Every CE6 unit also includes a searchable manual in the Help link on the top menu bar. The Learning and Teaching Centre conducts training courses each semester - see the Workshops page at http://www.cfl.mq.edu.au/support/workshops.htm for details.
